• Your wedding ring will be with you for life so it’s important it is the perfect fit. The ring should easily fit over your knuckle and sit comfortably on your finger with the stone remaining firmly upwards. Try fitting a toothpick just between your ring and finger if you are not sure!
• Have at least two wedding dress fittings within the month before your wedding. This will ensure your dress fits perfectly on the big day.
• When organising the guest list it is a good idea to split the numbers evenly between the bride’s family, the groom’s family and the couple. Once the list is finalised, ascertain the full names, addresses and contact numbers of each guest.
• Invitations should be mailed out at least two months before the big day or six months if your wedding falls at a busy time of year.
• Listen to various pieces of music before deciding which should accompany the Bride’s entrance and departure. The ‘Wedding March’ (Wagner) and ‘Spring’ from ‘Four Seasons’ (Vivaldi) are often very popular.
